A gradual transition to a new diet may be especially helpful in cats with CKD. Cats with CKD that remain inappetant or anorexic cats should be assessed for nausea. Warming the product to room temperature can enhance palatability for cats with a fussy appetite, and FortiFlora may be used as a palatability enhancer.
